About Eva Bailey

I grew up in beautiful Idaho, a farmers daughter. I am now in my early eighties.  I have five children, fifteen grandchildren and as of today (April 2018), ten great grandchildren. Over twenty-five years ago, I felt impressed to write this story about dogs. We owned a pair of matched apricot miniature poodles. The female’s name was Sassy. I just started writing and rewriting ,and thus came this story. My beloved brother Don, who was a high school principal, edited it for me and said it was a great story. I had absolutely no knowledge of blood banks for dogs or Donor Dog Heroes. I thought, I do not think I am old enough to handle rejection. I will just wait until I am older.  So, I placed the story in my safe, took it out  every few years, and finally decided I am old enough. I looked up who was the number one publisher, and it was Simon & Schuster/Archway Publishing. I thought if I was to be rejected, I wanted to be rejected by the very best. I submitted, they liked it, and with great help from them,  I am a published author. I am thrilled. This has been a lifetime goal for me.  I am excited to start another adventure with Jedidiah very soon.
